The skill of impressioning would apply well here....
It is very simple actually...you will open it and make a working key at the same time...
Varjeal wrote an excellent thread on impressioning someone might post it below, if you're lucky.

Is it possible to pop the latch with out damaging the lock? Or removing the riveted screws?
I think this lock may give you some more hours of fun. Shame to damage it, but if you don't care about it thats diferent.

Not sure if this will be as helpful as I hope but:

These guys seem to specialize in keys for trunks. They say the key you made will most likely work, but they also have several different varieties (but not so many that it would be horrible to make some...)

It will be easier to work on the lock if you remove it from the trunk by drilling out the rivets. That way, if you can't open it you could always bring it to a lockie without dragging the trunk around with you.
Replacing the rivets (and lock if damaged) should cost about $10 for materials.

Thanks guys, all three of you have very helpful posts.
To Bud Wiser- I'm pretty sure the lock is messed up internally, and thus it won't be providing much fun
I like the thinking on bypassing it, but I tried for about half an hour last night, to shim it, to no avail.
To Schuyler- Thanks for the link, that's an incredible resource. I won't be buying a key though, as I'm pretty sure my homemade one is correctly made.
I might on the other hand be having buy a new lock from him.
To Mememe- I think that will be my second course of action after trying to drill it out internally, through the keyway.
Anyways, anyone have any ideas on where to drill inside this lock?
Thanks,
Unbreakable

I just broke the TWO ply key
I also forgot to add that the lock has been floating in WD-40 for the past 2 hours in an attempt to loosen it up.

:\ yeah, sounds like it's time to drill that bastage out of there and get a new lock.

I may have an internal pic of this lock, ill see if i can find it,
I posted up a thread a while ago on the same lock with the same subject, the lock is easy to open when you know how but it did leave me stuck for a bit as well until i did get it open,
Ill have a hunt around and if i cant find it ill pull the lock apart again tomorrow and take a picture,
Drilling is not needed trust me,

If i remember right they are held together with folded over metal tabs so simply priseing it off leaves a repairable lock, i dont have the pics anyway so would have had to retake them,
Its all academic now,
