I half expected this really.
Anyway, NeroZero, you need to get a less difficult lock to start with. I'd suggest a Master 4 pin padlock to start with. I'd then throw the safety pin away and put the screwdriver down until you can get a cheap set of SouthOrd picks. They are reasonably priced and good quality for the money.
I'd then read all the tutorials you can find on this site. Start by looking at the various stickies you see at the beginning of the forums.
Lockpicking is like anything else, you have to learn to walk before you run. And remember, just because something will fit in a keyway doesn't mean you can open a lock with it. The right tools for the job make things MUCH easier!
Oh, and you other guys, I didn't WANT to be right......but I had a gut feeling.
