Can you identify/value this Key Machine?

Postby Seanernet » 30 Aug 2006 17:59

The following machine has been offered for sale to me for $150 plus $50 for shipping. The seller stated it is a COLE CONSUMER PRODUCTS #2400 and it functions properly.
1. Can you verify the type of machine?
2. Is this price a good deal for a used machine of this type?
3. Is this machine capable of cutting by code?

Thanks in advance.
Sean

That's odd, it comes up fine on my computer, and the link comes up manually as well.

Im not sure but i think cole were bought by ilco and that seems like an older machine,

Its a duplicator so unless you use depth and space keys no it cant cut to code,

For $200 delivered i dont think its worh it imho

It also seems to have an old style motor and electronics in there as its got the cycle start button,

I think somthing more like $100 delivered would be closer to the mark,

Shrub,

Thanks for the fast reply! I'll make an offer and use a caliper.

Well let some of the others reply first as i could be way off on both my idea of the machine and the conversion on the money aspect,

Zeke would be a good person to talk to on it, maybe he will post up when he finishes work,
