Just a quick note here,
I would advise that discussion of opening or bypassing cuffs currently used in law enforcement should be left for the advanced forums,
I think if things continue on this line the thread will have to be moved,

LOL! Attitude adjustments! Good one! On the line of "failure to communicate!"
You definitely do not want to p-off law enforcement agents, just not healthy at all

1. If this is what you are reffering to I mean cheap by they cost about 17 dollars, and I agree this could also mean that they are not very good quality, and possibly nothing to LEO issue.
2. You use the end you bent to unlock the double through the keyhole. Response: Then why not just use the bent end for the regular lock too? Of course you could, especially if you find it unable to unlock it using shimming, but I find shimming is more enjoyable and easier.
3. Who said anything about getting arrested? I made no reference to using lockpicking to get out of cuffs put onto me by the law enforcement.

On the S&W pair I played with, you could shim it with a bobby pin, but the keyway was way too restricted to disengage the double locking in the way you can with cheap knockoff cuffs. I played the "lock my hands behind my back and try and escape with things I find lying aroung my apartment" game, and nothing would work and I had to ressort to a bobby pin shim. I tried again with cuffs in hand and tried everything from binder clips, to various gauges of wire, and I couldn't pick the lock. Anything I can do with handcuffs, I can do with thumbcuffs.

I attempted to shim my handcuffs last night at work with a bobby pin, with no success. When my handcuffs are double locked, I cannot get the bobby pin past the first tooth where it meets the body of the handcuff. It gets all jammed up at this point. (even when single locked) In the following pic the arrow points to where I am talking about:
Sorry for cutting and pasting your pic Money Dollars- I just needed it for an example.

well of course not, 2 reasons:
1. Double locked.
2. Even single locked, there is not enough space, nor enough flex int the handcuff.

Sounds like a good pair of cuffs to me, so how are you going to pick it?

I "pick" them with a key, and only a key. (I use these for work)
I'l post the manu. and model # in a day or so.. they are @ work.
There is a handcuff pick you can buy, but it is basically a key.

Just to confirm, it helps to put a little flex on the bobby pin pressing it towards the toothed arm thing. I would not expect shims to work on double locked cuffs. I think he was saying he could disengage relocking by pushing the bobby pin in through the keyway and "picking" the lock. This obviously won't work on a more heavily restricted keyway.

But you see, a bent pin is even thinner than a bobby pin, or a normal key, so it would be easy to use a pin...

Safety Pin.
Also, I stopped by work, Just for you! Peerless Handcuffs, model # 700
Theres also an anti shim rail, and "dent" to prevent the handcuff from being shimmed, or stressed to fit a shim.
