KEY BLANKS

Postby xorb » 2 Sep 2006 4:58

Where do you think is the best place to purchase key blanks from. The place I do get them from are a bit pants because they sent a pack of 'keys' they cut all the time. Except I'm finding all sorts coming into action including ASEC, ABUS, CISA to name a few. I know the profile is totally different to each other and blade back length is an important issue.

I could do with somewhere that supplies all known, or standard mortice and cylinder keys.

They should be able to supply keyboards with the technical mumbo jumbo about each key blank and their order code for when I get low. Most Euro cylinders are a common profile, or its reverse vs it's blade length (i.e. mila is a 2cm back while era is a 3cm back and the most common ones are 2.5cm back). It's the profiles of the rarer ones that annoy me cos i don't like people turned away!

Which suppliers are best??
