1. I live in Canary Islands, Spain.
2. I have 18 years, and I don't have a cred card.
3. I don't trust buying through the net.
4. Before Internet was invented, where did the locksmiths buy their lockpicks?

Jack, you should post in English. You'll get a more propt response.
As for your bullets:
1: Never been there. Is it nice?
2: You don't need a credit card to buy online.
3: As long as you buy from reputable lockpicking sites, you'll be fine. Try Southord.com. They have a good record, and their prices are reasonable. Plus, you can just send them a mail order, and they'll send you the picks.
That way, your credit card information stays secure.
4: They made them, or hoped that someone nearby could.
Hope this helps!

Before the internet, hobbyist pickers didn't exist as large as it does now. You either were a certified locksmith, a crook, or someone that managed to get in between somewhere, hehe.
Seriously, I assume they were much harder to acquire...good thing bad thing? Who knows...

Back in the day there were lads books and things that were in print for engineers that told how to make lockpicks from hacksaw blades and such things,
My dad made a few when he was a kid from one of these types of annuals,
Most things were learnt from ledgers, subscription mags etc, in this country they had meetups of lockies from the MLA that had discussions etc on such things,
Lets be honest a lot of the locks were simply drilled or to a low standard, lever locks in time gone by were defeated with skeleton keys or wires or hobbs tools,
