Chris as im not far from you may a suggest you get yourself down the hawley road towards dartford where there is a large model shop (TJ modeling i think). In there you can buy spring steel very cheaply from which you can make some tools to open this lock.Less than a fiver will get you more than enough for all sorts of tools so get various thickness. If its what i think it is it could be a 3 lever as ive seen a few of these on outhouses in the surrounding areas, but that is a wild guess without a proper photo.

Possibly a Union Security, looks like there's some red in there...or maybe it's my eyes.

If you can open the door, what does it say on the faceplate?

I would guess your mate has a rim cylinder or something warder rather than a 5 lever mortise lock. Maybe it was a fluke but I don’t think you could describe opening a lever lock BS or otherwise as easy when doing for the very first time with no instruction.

3 months ago and the user hasnt been back since i think we can say he either did it or didnt,

Its a 2 or 3 lever lock not BS, he said he had seen his mate pick a simular lock which would suggest it was a mortice lock as well, it may be that his mate is a lockie,

If the OP wants to pm me to unlock this thread then go ahead and i will do otherwise its dead,

Bonez, press the quote button on the post you want to quote, then if you want to only quote part of it delete the bits you dont want to quote, make sure you leave the (quote) bits in when you delete,
