Before i start just wanted to let everyone know that i only started picking a few days ago so as far as newbie’s go im the definition.
IV been checking out this site with great enthusiasm as there is some great information for ppl like myself
I run a small computer resellers business (mainly repairs and custom builds) and got interested in picking the other day when i stumbled across an e-book on Buzz_boks "secrets of lockpicking by O'rielly" i made a hook pick and tension wrench with street sweeper bristles and manage to pick a couple of door locks and dead bolts quite easily "to my surprise" and now im hooked, its a great pass time and good stress relief for me.
Anyway enough dribble about me i do actually have a question.
I bought a couple of padlocks to practice on and im finding them a lot harder to pick .
The one from the 2 dollar shop is quite easy but the more expensive Lockwood padlocks are a challenge ( i live in Australia ) i think the biggest problem is the pick im using I find hard to navigate my way to the pins.
Should i be using a half diamond or a hook pick for these type of padlocks?
can someone point me to good template using Sweeper bristles , also i don’t have any power tools only using a file and sand paper
I don’t have a great deal iv time on my hands (running a business and have a family) but I enjoy sitting in front of the telly picking away at locks.
Any help would be appreciated
(sorry for ranting on)

Btw great forum
