Dropped Only Key To Round Lock In Lake...

Being an Engineer I really need to add lockpicking/smithing to my line of knowledge. As I said in another post in the forum I am already fluent in repinning, got a follower and a kwikset cylendar remover tool.

drill it open but don't drill too deep (past the last pin) because you will shear of the lug that retracts the shackle and you will have a hell of a time trying to get it open.

Go get a hacksaw and take out the hacksaw blade and put a carbide rod in and start sawing.

I have a round lock of this type but a No Name Brand:



that is on my boat trailer hitch locking it to the ball. I had to slide out the receiver hitch just to seperate the trailer from the truck.

What is the best way of going about picking this lock? I don't remember if it's a 4 or a 5 pin key. Would raking work? What kind of tensioner would I need being these locks are heavy to turn?

I have a better suggestion...

Jump into the water, and go swimming with a magnet, and pretend you are a feeder fish.

Good luck with the magnet, it is probably a brass key.
The last time i checked, the didn't stick to a magnet.
