Eric:

Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough explanatory post just now. :) Actually that cleared up my major question, which was "Why?". I'm still not sure if I'd be able to effectively use it....I've been playing around with the idea and testing it after seeing your post and I personally don't find myself able to use it to it's fullest potential but that may well be my lack of skill. Wouldn't be the first time. =)

In any event, the concerns you addressed in the explanation definitely make more sense now that they've been spelled out and I can see what you were aiming for...

Now to get back to testing. *rummages through his tension tools* =)

USMAN, surely you can see from the pictures on how the material is bent?

I didn't use heat.
It is made from a wiper blade insert.
I used a vice to hold the wiper blade steady whilst I twisted it using pliers.
I first bent the wiper blade in half.
I then bent the prongs to the angle I thought best suited.
I gripped the tips of the prongs in the vice and bent the prongs to twist-flex style.

All of this, as Shrub said should really be inuuitive.

Oi, some weeks ago I came up with this, cuz I read somewhere around here that having tension both in the top and bottom was a good idea.

I designed it for a 40mm papaiz padlock, but found out that it didn´t work because of the shackle-spring, no wait a minute not that one the other one, what is it called? the two springs in the topmiddle keeping the shackle from poping!

It works well with eurocylinder, cuz the have no springs.

I tryed to make it so that the energy goes to, both top and bottom when pushing.

I push down on the right side according to the lowest pic.

It works, but let´s just call it a prototype!

It works best if you attach a rubberband, (making it handsfree, which is cool) given it medium light tension, to the place where you would put you finger, and the other end you attach to the screw above the doorknob, which you unscrew just a little, and if there ain´t one, well you´ll think of something.

Alright, I know that I said that I pushed down, but I attach the rubberband on the top screw, how is that, well it´s because the cylinder is turned upside down, here in Brazil, alot of times anyway.(see first pic. for ref., the name of the lock is alianca)

That just about covers what I want so say, have a nice day!
Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

Wrenchman: It's not pretty, but it looks like a good idea. Nice work! :)

Thanks for the nice comments, and, since such a huge number of people like my idea, I have decided to make a video showing how it works!
