I got my copy of the Padlock Handbook in the mail. Printed in 1988, I think it's identical to the 1970 version. It covers most older padlocks...

If you buy old padlocks off ebay or antique stores, it's a good book to have. It includes disassembly procedures (it's nice to know where the brass shackle retaining pins are) and has an exploded view. Key depth/space info, and a review of impressioning and wafer reading are also included.
