I don't have yours but have 5 Brinks and 3 are max rated, and 2 are High rated. Even the High Rated have spool pins which make them a little difficult. I've been able to pick them all accept the Shrouded one, which also has serrated pins.
The High Max were easier to rake open then SPP, but you need to as indicated earlier also jiggle the rake up and down too while raking. The right amount tension are it won't work. To SPP them takes a little patience but can be done with practice. The trick is to know when to ease off the tension and or jerk the tension ever so slightly.
The Max are even harder! I can rake and SPP one, but nothing yet on the Shrouded. The one I had success with required more pin play along with tension. I was able to rake this one as well, but not as easily using the same raking technique. I prefer the Jag pick, it looks like a W or M depends how you look at it
The Shrouded is just totally different. Has stronger spring action, and I've not spent a lot of time on this one.
I've been using the small hook pick and Jag rake.
Keep us posted on how you do with another pick set!
