Questions about lock types and picking.

Pardon the ignorance, but I was wondering what type of lock has a half moon shape. It looks almost like a tubular lock. Also, same question about the other tubular style lock which looks like a copper coin pressed into a silver coin. The entire thing is flush, including the pins which are completely exposed. Thanks!

Well, the half-moon is most likely an abloy. It works by a disk mechanism very different from a tubular. And the the second one with the pins exposed sounds like a tubular, but pictures are a must to be completely sure.

And they both sound like vending machine locks.......


Seeing as this is your first post, welcome to the forum.
Second, you may wish to select an easier beginner locks, say a kwikset or a master lock.
