When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Following Snapcarp's excellent sticky on DIY 2-in-1 pick making, i went to my local model shop and got various brass tubes etc. Also some wires.

So i shall be having a stab at making a 7g 2in1 (already got 6g) - i will post pic of final result.

Now for the wires. The intention is to play at making some thumbturn turners. While they do not work on all thumbturns, i guess that several brands are covered if a selection of wire tips are made. Any chance anyone could post pics (in advanced section probably) of the various tips needed to suit most cylinders? Or PM / email me a link direct to their pics wherever they are hosted?

thanks

Wire turners are for the advanced section, please post them in the advanced picking tool section and not here.

I look forward to seeing a photo of your 2in1 7g pick, and hearing how it performs.

I have actually made it, except for the wheel thumb turns at the ends. Just looking around for the right things to use. It is not as pretty as yours however, and without the thumbturns on, I havent tested it yet.

could you please explain, why wire turners are for the advanced forum, when there is a photo of them in the keyprint catalogue, just wandering.

Theres pictures of porn on the net as well but thats not allowed in the public sections either

Seriously though the rules of this site are as they are regardless of what they are elsewhere, to see the online key print catalogue you have to have clearance to view them,

The rules of this site state no bypass methods in the public sections hence they are not allowed to be discussed here,

Hope this clears thngs up,

I think it was around 9 quid for the brass stuff, 12 quid for everything in the pic - wires included.

No-one got any pics to post (in advanced) of wire turners?? Please?
