Unfortunately that was put out by Discovery channel so it is copyrighted to them. It was an interesting show however.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Sometimes discovery channel puts clips on their website. What was the name of the show? What kind of lock was the vault using? If it was a lever lock I could believe it if he had some wonder tool + a lot of knowledge about the lock, and a enough skill. If it was a combo lock done by manipulation, then I am going to favor he already knew the combination.
Can anyone tell me the name of the show so I can see this?

I remember this guy. It was pretty amazing. Apparently this guy is conscripted by the government to open safes for various reasons. From what I've heard he's 100% authentic and can decode combination safes by hand in under 5 minutes.

And that video clip is 'out there', it just can't be put on here anywhere as it is copyrighted, so just search if you really want to see it.

Someone posted the video on here a long time ago, mid 04 I think. Anyway, I'm pretty sure whoever posted it put it on one of those generic filehosting sites, so the link from here isn't around anymore. At the end of the clip he opens a bank vault just through manipulation in 5 min 19 seconds. It's impressive :)

I have heard about that video, from discovery channel, but there is also an episode of 'it takes a thief' in which he is asked to open a cheap wall safe, and it stumps him so he drills as any of us would, the explanation is that a well machined oiled high end lock is what he responds to, while some cheap crap with plastic tumblers probably is difficult because of its general cheapness. the part with jeff sitar is at the end of the show when they do the security overhaul, and its the house with the three batchlors liveing in big house who don't even bother to lock the front door after the security overhaul, the one with the picasso sketch on the wall (it was in the closet at the beginning)
