Hi all
There was at me an old Russian lock, with simple pins which opened easily. Then I have changed pins and now I can not open it only with key
It has 24 pins:
At the left old pins, on the right changed
How it now to pick

You said you changed pins, did you replace the existing pins with security pins?

Looks similar to a Zeiss Ikon, Duo, and even Papaiz has a few models with the 4 sided key. Can be a tricky pick.
Other manufacturers have made similar keyways, but the quality and tolerences vary.
Been playing with locks since '68.

Why so many pins on the right as compared to the left?
Were all holes pinned?
Not much info to go on.............

It looks like each edge of the key is bitted the same, by the time you got to the 3rd or 4rth set of pins you would probably be well practiced at it. Now I realize what this tool is for:

That's really cool Atrix.
I have one of those locks, although I haven't tried putting any security pins in. You may have just inspired me to give it a go though.
The cruiform locks you find on The Club steering locks onbly need to be turned one quarter of the way so no need to re-pick.
You get your hands on some neat ocks mate, keep it up.

Is that a small DC motor being used as a lathe? Are you attaching the pin to the motor output with the brass mount thing? Could we get another picture of how the pin is attached to the motor (Or correct me if that's not what that is).

yes it is a lathe and you would presumably attach the pin th what appears to be a micro-chuck.
If all fails, use nitroglycerine.

Well,exempt from a Bi-Lock.

Just wanted to add that I don't think this is true. At least I have never seen a key being symmetric in such a manner (looking at my dozen of Zeiss cross-lock keys with no lock .. snief).

i will add that all sides are bitted differently. It is a cruciform lock. Illusion bumped it. That was pretty neat...
