used F-B & ILCO key machine price?

Postby Peter Martin » 30 Sep 2006 22:38

I came across a used Foley-Belsaw 200 key machine at the flea market today. It was mounted on a flat board, looked well used, had the originalmanual, and had a single micrometer adjustment--presumably for zeroing or rudimentary code-cutting.
The man also had a manual ILCO duplicator--also looking pretty old, rather small motor, but probably from a closed hardware store.

The cost for the F-B was $30, and he wanted $50 for the ILCO duplicator.

I passed on both of them because I really can't see myself using a key machine very much. I also didn't know the prices for used key machine.

Was this a really great deal that I should have jumped on?

If you dont see yourself using something then it is never a good deal at any price.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!
