Home made tubular lock pick (key)

Postby alan11 » 3 Oct 2006 14:09

Hi all,
Take a look at this http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... lock&hl=en
A simple idea which seems to work. I would not think it would break high security locks but its work a try !!

Thanks Alan

Is this your video?

I have a very important observation here,

That isnt a pick and it isnt pickign the lock, the key still clearly has the cuts on it :?

If im wrong then please correct me becuase this idea althoguh old has not been pictured properly on this site,

If the cuts are removed and then the lock 'picked' it would be good, please show us some proper pics of the tool,

If it isnt your tool then please olny post such things if you can give credit to the person who made it and not to take the credit for it yourself although im gueeing this could well be your video,

No Pens work on poorly pined locks, Ace 2's forget it. As htat all i really see of tubulars anymore.

The concept is neat, i agree with shrub close ups please :)

It actually LOOKS like someone put pick shafts on a tubular key using the original cuts as guides.

I'm with Shrub though, I would like to see something a little clearer and maybe some close ups.

This is not my video

Postby alan11 » 4 Oct 2006 13:13

Hi,
This is not my video, when you watch it does it not say at the end who uploaded it ? I thought it did on google. I just liked the idea but do not claim it to be mine. As someone has said Im asuming the cuts are made longer and the wires just bent to use the cuts as a slid. Tension is set be the number od bands or wraps used. As soon as I bet my dremel type tool I will be giving this a go just to see what can be done with it. Im now to this board but im not new to picking I have been doing it off and on for 4 years.

I tried making an TP by altering a key once.... ended with me destroying a key and getting frustrated

Well that key used on that video still has the differant cuts on it so the cuts havent been altered, also it doesnt actually seem like the feeler picks have protruded into the cuts,

As a suggestion if posting videos not yours make sure you say so and say who did make them, taking credit for others work is frowned upon, wheather this would have been stated or not if we didnt say somthign i dont know as i dont know you but i write as a bit of advice,

Im not shy

Postby alan11 » 5 Oct 2006 15:02

Hi,
I can see where your comming from but most of my post with come from things I have read or seen. Im not shy and will clearly state when something is my idea ! As I said before google states who uploads the videos but it hard to give credit as even if they are on this board they may not use the same name but I will try to give credit where I can.
