How does this work? Schlage deadbolt and shell, Medeco plug?
http://cgi.ebay.com/_W0QQItemZ300033310228
I'd look, but I'm pretty sure they don't have the same chamber spacings. How do these match up?

The schlage deadbolt body will accept a medeco plug and shell.

how disapointing. I was expecting a picture or a graphic scetch.
medeco makes conversion for most schlage hardware, knobs, lever etc

Yes. That schlage deadbolt accepts what is essentially a medeco KIK assembly that slides right into that deadbolt. It IS however NOT UL listed when assembled!!!! That schlage deadbolt it not a UL listed assembly.

Here's some pics of my Schlage deadbolt that will accept a KIK lock, just to clear things up.
Heres a front view of two of these locks.
Here's a back view of them. Notice the screw? Thats the only thing keeping the KIK in.
Here's a pic of one of the locks disassembled and the KIK removed.
Here's a similar style of lock using a HEX screw instead of a screw.
I was a little disturbed at the size of the hex screw, it doesnt seem very thick compared to a Canadian dollar!

Naw, it was mostly like that when I ripped the carpet up, it just hasn't gotten refinished yet.
Maybe then I'll stop throwing locks at it.

Do you mean my floors lino, your floors lino, or are you simply stating that you don't like lino?
Sorry I'm a little confused.
My floors are real wood, and not that composite crap if thats what you mean...

Oh and sorry, I just wan't to specify, I'm sure not all lino's that bad, its just a while ago we looked at buying a house, and the composite wood hadn't stood up at all, buckled, dented and scratced, etc.
Im sure not all of its bad.
