Everything with picking is about time and practice.
The more you experience the better you will learn to feel the pins, and how they move. Time is going to be your most important teacher. Don't get discouraged, and never believe that you can't pick a lock. You may not be able to pick a certain lock right now, but you just keep at it until you get it.
You hands get used to the feel, your fingers relax and you learn how to control the tension. Each time you open a lock, even if its a lock you have opened a dozen times, your hands learn a little more.
Try not to pick locks that you use for anything, as there is always the possibility that you could damage the lock, and there is nothing worse than having to replace the front door deadbolt because you stuffed it.
Just remember, take your time, relax and have fun.
