you know disk locks are advanced material, right?

and as far as i have heard it is almost impossible to impression them.

The funny part is that this guy actually has advanced forum access...

Well I have never heard of them being impressioned... I don't think you would be able to without a shite load of difficulty... I guess at the right cut, the sidebar *could* stop making a mark on the key, but since the sidebar is very straight, I don't think it would mark one in particular, unless the sidebar was at a significant angle...

As you can see, the above thoughts are speculation.

It has been deemed impossible to impression Abloy locks. I assume you're talking about Abloys...

I'm presuming he'd be talking about Abloy too. Disc tumbler locks I find are usually easier to impression than some pin tumbler locks. (not Abloy of course) I have successfully impressioned a Tibbe Lock though. And virtually any of the older disc tumbler vehicle locks. The sidewinders are the hardest to impression....too much time...it is often quicker and easier to decode or use a determinator tool.

If you are impressiong disc tumblers (not Abloy), try filing your blank to a knife edge and when using the impression file, file at a 45* angle across the blade. This will help tremendously.
