Welcome,
For all thoes new to the site and lockpicking, LP101 is a great place to start.
Take a look at the new users section, first and don't be afraid to ask any questions just remember to try a search before posting.

If you're looking for locks to pick, buy some but, DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON
I repeat DO NOT PICK LOCKS YOU OR ANYONE ELSE RELY ON, they can and will break, then your house/car/safe/chasity belt is vulnerable or unable to be opened (think: emergency situation).

Cheers,

Bomb, you said can, but I think you ment can´t!

Here is an advice, keep picking, because it is normal not to feel anything in the begining.

Keep picking....
I could say, put more tension, but since you are new, I assume you have enough tension :P

Romstar, he can say it like no one else, it goes something like this:
Your fingers, does´nt feel the pins yet, they are not trained, you need practice, practice, practice, then after about a month, your fingers will start to feel the pins more and more.

Not to forget patience, patience, patience!

:D

Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

Ya. I feel my pins in my door. I did it like in 10 secs the first time, no doubt I can get into my own in secs. But like others the 1 with key holes in the door and some other deadbolts. I feel mine but I couldn't feel my friends :( I dunno maybe I needed more tension, but today (10/7/06) I picked my first master lock :) Kinda small medium size and I picked it in bout a min, then a second time and another time :) Then I picked this bigger lock and only opened twice with luck. I like put it to the back and like "racking" it pulled it out real quick given/letting off for the tension and sha-bam! Open I was excited. And for the tools I'm getting some soon. Just gotta order them. :) $40 worth. I like to start out big :)

Thanks If you can help me out there :) Maybe I just gotta pract more like you said....

The feel is different on most locks. On some the key way is slanted on a angle so you won't feel any pins unless you angle your pick to reach the pins. On others there is so little play on the pins you could miss it entirely at first and think there is no pins. Just keep practicing!

Ha
I made my own lockpick. Pshh Outta the hacsaw blade, and fill'd it down to size. Takes foreva and afta doing it, it broke and today I just redid it. Looks like this ... the lil' [ , ] is a lil indent in the sawblade. But it takes foreva. and my rench thing is made outta the end of a pen clip thing. Hurts my hands sometimes, first pick was a hair clip thing.

Thanks

You should fill out your profile so we know where your from.

You don't need a credit card. Just a checking account and debit card with a mastercard or visa on it, just have enough money in your checking account to cover any purchases.

I wouldn't waste my money on any more bump keys! No fun, and major rip off.

Good luck
