Ernest Miller Hemingway I like this one though: "I like to listen. I have learned a great deal from listening carefully. Most people never listen." Ernest Miller Hemingway Wrenchman
Wrenchman gets kudos for knowing the quotes, and for coming up with one even better suited to the material at hand.
Oh, and UWSDWF I am sorry, I didn't mean to imply that you were the resident drunk. I forgot how your work schedule went, and you even explained it to me once. That doesn't qualify you to be the resident drunk when Monday turns out to be your Friday.

DIY:
Bend some spring steel and shape it with a hammer and/or file.
Doesn't work too well in tight profiles, but that's a general problem with dimple locks.

correct, regarding Mrs. Astor (on her comment that he was a drunkard). Sorry for the paraphrase, but couldn't remember the exact line off the top.

"What's on your mind, if you will allow the overstatement"?
Wrenchman
Before you pick a lock:
The first thing that you should do is check to make sure that
the lock is your's and secondly make sure its not in use.

Not bad, most peope wouldn't have gotten the actor's real name. The quote originated as part of an episode, so I am not sure if its appropriate to give credit to the actor, or his character; Al Bundy.
This one is a good shot, see if you can get it. Its always been one of my favorites.

Isaac Asimov said that i think,
How about this one,
"It is not hardness of heart or evil passions that drive certain individuals to atheism, but rather a scrupulous intellectual honesty."
