looking Locksmith in jakarta

HI!Does anyone of you know of any locksmith in jakarta city center?

I need help as I am stuck outside as I have lost my keys.

If you can get on the internet, you must be able to find a locksmith in that area.

that's the whole problem, i am in the office. and i tried searching on the internet for some, and i could not even find a single one in jakarta. is it a crime to be a locksmith here. if any of you know of any contacts or any link, do provlide me, as I have already been searching and asking all the people in the office, none of them knows.

You're telling me. Since when did it become illegal to be a locksmith there? I have friends there, and I knew nothing of that.

no no. dont get me wrong. What I am saying is, it is really difficult to find a locksmith here, and I was wondering if it was an illegal business here. becauyse even the people in the office tells me where do they need locksmith here if they can break into your house. But I really need someone who is a professional locksmith here who is able to help me get into my house. any amount i will pay.

If you are near to the Marriot, the concierge there can give you the number of a local locksmith. They are very used to dealing with English speakers all the time. I stayed there, and the staff were excellent.

That would be my best piece of advice at the moment.

Yes mate, I tried that through the phone, they are giving me some tricky situation as the person who is answering could not speak English at all.

I want to play safe to have a real locksmith, at least after 5pm, I know that I am able to access my apartment.

I can tell that you are helping me on this very much, would really be great if I can have a contact with you friend. Your friend is here in Jakarta, would you mind if I contact him directly. But who do i say I am recommended by. Romstar, will he knows? If it convinent for that. never felt so desperate in my life before.

Unfortunately I should not give out my friends number without asking him first. He's a bit of a private person.

Living there and being a Christian English speaking North American isn't his idea of the safest place in the world.

Anyway, that's enough about that. I hate those sorts of debates.

Oh, and calling the Marriott won't get you much, you sort of have to go in. The English speaking people never seem to answer the phones.

The only hope I have is if I do not have the chance to obtain your friend's number, and when i go to JW MArriot in the night, they are able to find me one who is on a 24hrs shift.
