Try these:

BP3N

Jl Perintis Kemerdekaan 9
JAKARTA 13260
021-4898687

Swadarma Sarana Informatika PT

Jl Ki Samaun 235-A
TANGERANG
021-55776896

No guarantees on them though. I have never needed a locksmith in Jakarta. It could be nothing, and the numbers could be old.

Let me know what you get so I know if I should keep trying.

ELOK plaza. Is that Kedoya Elock plaza? Jl. Panjang Jakarta. if it is ,..it is about 45mins away from where I am staying.

I can pay your friend for the taxi fare. How much will he be charging?

My friend isn't the locksmith, and I still can't get hold of him.

Delta Graha Systemindo is supposed to be in Elok Plaza. They are an alarm shop, but also supposed to be a bonded locksmith.

The number is: 021 58300678

I can't promise you anything on these. Its been a very long time since I was personally there. My friend keeps odd hours, and if I can't get hold of him I am shooting blind.

Oh, and as for taxis in Jakarta, I am not sure what is worse. Driving in Jakarta, or being driven in Jakarta.

Its sort of like Paris, but without the interesting architecture.

Hi Romstar,
I am going to call all of them now and hope that one of them will pick up and be able to understand what i need. I will get my colleague to help me here. Thanks so much for all these information. And the last resort will be for the conceige in JWMarriot.

Indeed you are right, the traffic here is worst than Paris, Champs De elysee especially ..

I guess you have been to most part of the world. Try Singapore if you have the chance.

Thanks so much, and without further ado, i am going to lock in my calls now.

It would take a lot of money to get me to go back to Singapore.

I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you find something. I am soon to be on my way to bed, where I should have been hours ago.

I will say this, the largest problem with finding a locksmith in Jakarta is that most of them are involved in other businesses, and do not refer to themselves as "locksmiths" exactly.

I am sure someone will point in the right direction. Considering where you are, a short walk down the street may actually run you into one.

Good luck.

Hi Romstar,
Thank you so much for your help yesterday and sorry to make you loss few hours of your sleeping time.

I called those numbers you provided, seems like they have shifted. And as for your friend, i think he has shifted as well;) But thank you for all the contacts.

In the end, I head your advise and went to JW Marriot, and they were really good in their service and indeed they live up to their name. They provided me with their HOTEl locksmith, and helped to opened the door finally. I paid them handsomely.

Thanks for everything from you and good luck in your endeavours!

My friend called me back later on today, sound quite haggard himself, having not heard from me in a number of months. We communicate via e-mail mostly, and having a phone message from me was quite the event he thought.

In any case, I am sorry I couldn't have been of more help, but I am very glad you got the service you required.

Take care.
