Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

Help me identify a dimple padlock? (pictures)

wiggity wiggity what up LP101 thugs and fools?

I got another big ol' batch of locks. There are some I want to brag about and some I'm just curious about.

OK! Bragable:
1 Medeco biaxial lock with keys and card (what up!)
1 Small, DOM lock (I NOW HAVE TWO!!)
1 Abus padlock, number...65? Maybe. I dunno, it's in my bag (first Abus for me)
like...20 super old lever padlocks, so if anyone wants one to play around with, I've got some antiques, hit me up. Only 1 has a key, but I'm glad of that one.
Several old Yale and Towne padlocks (This makes me so happy I want to shout, I bought my dad a Yale and Towne letter opener, because he collects letter openers and it's our family history and something that's very important to me now, so anyway...I'm pretty stoked.)

Now,

What the heck are these:
ADEMECO (looks like my medeco, and is almost an anagram of it, but written in all caps)

And this guy:
It's a dimple padlock.

Anyone know?

I'd love any info :) A couple other names, but I left a lot of the stuff at work.

It's a first generation Sargent Keso.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe this is the lock I asked about a while back that I had spotted on a door. I got a second look at it and I recall seeing the symbol as well.

I think your picture is a little bit different - I'd think your lock has a keyway that has a circular opening.
Whereas the photo shows a rectangular keyway with a circular chamfer that helps inserting the key.
I saw this feature on many locks, incl. e.g. the ABUS EP10, these days even DOM introduced a concave front on their IX line (as opposed to the convex front they had initially, which of course did not help very much to find the keyway...)

ADEMCO used to make ACE tubular electrical switches to arm/disarm home alarm systems. Actually, I think they made all sorts of home alarm horns, sensors, mats, panels... you sure there's an E in the name on the lock?

its 3:32, I could be totally wrong.. I blame the vodka and cranberry juice.

if you could PM or post some measurements, i could let you know more info re: this lock. my shop carries abus locks too. "65/20" comes to mind.

the 65/20 is a wee-tiny thing though.

ok, i'm at work at the moment... the number is "65/20" and it DOES appear to be a 3 pin lock.

65/45

I happen to have it in front of me here. It's a pretty standard size, with a relatively small plug and thin body.
