any one heard of auto rescue?

I am thinking about taking job with them it is subcontract work and they say that I can expect 85+ calls a week. all they do is auto lockouts/ change flat/ and take gas. They train you to do the lockout's The only thing that does not seem right is the pay. They pay 10.00 per call no matter what it is for. I guess they figure they can get away with it because of the volume of work and I was just wondering if anyone on here has heard of them or no any one that has.

If you really get 85+ calls a week it sounds like a good deal. You said a sub contractor does that mean you have to use your own vehicle or use their vehicle and pay them a fee? A friend of mine was a package delivery "sub contractor" using his own car and he made good money some weeks but on slow weeks he didn't make very much money and he was putting over 1k miles a week on his car.

It is using my own vehicle. They just started doing this where I am at. They get all there work from roadside assistance company's and they tell me they are one of the biggest company's for doing it for ford/ gm/ and chrysler for the roadside assistance on the new cars. He has also told me that if I prove myself here when they get the las vegas market that they will move me there to be the senior tech for that area. they also try to keep you with in a 30 mile radius of your house. I guess it will not hurt to give it a try. I am also told you turn in your work every sunday night and you have a check that friday. They supply me with the big lockout kit and there shirts and caps. He say's most his tech's get there gas for the week paid from there tips also since it is not costing these ppl anything for you to help them out I am sure most give tips.

I would guess that you should get good tips from most people. I pick up and drop off cars all the time for the dealership I work at and I would guess at least once a week someone has a breakdown. I take a van with a floor jack, 4-way lug wrench, jack stand, gas can, booster cables/jumperbox, antifreeze, oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, funnel, small tool box. I saw a lady on the Pennsylvania turnpike pay a $150.00 tow bill because she was out of gas. I was getting gas and saw the tow truck bring the van right to the pump and drop it off. I couldn't figure out why someone would get a tow to a gas pump so I had to walk over and ask her. I asked her why didn't she just have the driver put gas in the van and the driver of the tow truck told her he was not allowed to haul gas cans on his tow truck.

What are the hours? Do you have a set schedule or are you on call 100+ hours a week?

If you are on call 100+ hours a week like I am then the $850 per week is not much after you take out your gas and wear and tear on your car. You also won't have much of personal life.

After they get enough tech's it will be a rotating schedule. So it will be rough at first but will get better. I have decided to do it and work towards becoming a senior tech for the vegas area.

Well if you dont have a current job then any wage is a wage and is better than you have now, it shouldnt be sniffed at imho,
