Another Home Made Plug Spinner

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Another Home Made Plug Spinner

Postby ComTech » 30 Oct 2006 18:51

Here's my version of a home made plug spinner.
1 mouse trap spring
1 piece of wiper insert
1 piece of high density plastic
1 fender washer

Just give it a twist, put it in the lock, and let go of the washer.

We cant merge threads and i see absolutely no reason whatsoever why this shouldnt be a separate thread,

Good work comtech looks far better than some of the bent bits of wire ive seen pictured on this site in the past, looks like youve at least made an effort with that and a good one as well,

Well done,
Shrub

I agree, this deserves it's own thread. It's a totally different design. Looks like a good'un too. :)

Well, it's based off the original spring thing, but yeah, a new design and i like it. No more cuts or scratches from the old spring design, good job, thanks for sharing. I'll that try making one soon with what i can scrounge up.

Thanks!
I drilled a hole a little larger that the wiper insert all the way through, then from the other end a larger hole to fit the end of the spring in.
I drilled 2 holes in the fender warsher just large enough to weave the wiper insert through.
If anyone has questions, or needs more photo's, let me know.
Again Thanks

Very nice. The designs are getting more professional all of the time. I'm still waiting to see the CNC machined version :P

very good tip on plug spinners start @ the 10 o'clock position or even the nine o'clock ,you wont have to worry about it locking up when its given more momentum
