Seems a bit weird that all they have done is read a wanted advert or somthing and then offer you a job,

If its above board, a job is a job and even if your cutting keys all day its a good experiance and you get paid for messing with locks,

Better than doing nothing i guess,

Find out if this is a localized company, or one of these scam companies from New York who field calls for lockout work with a ton of fake local phone numbers that route to NY, and then claim to be your local friendly locksmith but really hires anyone under the sun.

I'm guessing if they contacted you randomly, they don't really give a rats ass about the quality of work you do, or whether the customer is in good hands. I'm also guessing you'll only see 40% of the bill in your pocket.

we've had a LOT of those pop up recently. they paid an ad agency to put "locksmith, 24 hour service" with phone number stickers on every commercial door in the city, and the number's not even in service. Found out it's dispatched out of toronto (two hours away) and they don't actually have anyone in the area.

Even if you're only seeing 40% of the bill, it's better than 100% of a job where you say 'do you want fries with that'. Look into and get lots of references
keys, we don't need no stinking keys!
