I just did a search for these locks, and no results came up. Are they an advanced topic? I was looking at getting one of these locks to play with, But if I can't find any information on how to pick it, I'm not sure that I want to mess with it right now. The lock I was looking at is:

Well yeah. I was just wondering why nothing was comming up in the search. Are they any harder than a normal schlage door lock? The keys are 7 pin, I know that much, But does it take any special tools or picking techniques to open one of these locks? It seems like you would have to put your whole pick inside the lock just to reach the back pin.

yes and no search for SFIC and HERE is a link to a site that will inform you. but in general i would consider it harder then 7 pin schlage and depending what you want to do you'd need a special tool to pick to the control line

Some are really easy and some are just straight up messed. I have had ones whre they open whith feather tension and 2 scrups and others that you cannot feel a single pin set inside. The best method I found was to use a half diamond give it a few scrubs and pick the rest pin-by-pin.

The difficult thing about these locks are knowing if you are picking the actual operating key pin or the control key pins.
If all fails, use nitroglycerine.

thats the point of the SFIC tensioner so you are only putting tension on the control ring and then it will be the only one picked
