hi, Went round me dads cause he had lost the key to the padlock that was chaining his harley up. I have no idea how to pick this lock so i told my dad to phone a reputable locksmith up and id pay half just to see how it was picked. three locksmiths later it was decided that the chain would be grinded much to my dismay as all the locksmiths didnt have a clue.

So due to all this inconvenience i decided to put you all to the test to find out if anyone actually knows how to decode or pick this lock, I have been told by a reputable lock company that i may aswell put this lock in the bin as it cannot be rekeyed, if this is the case i will be getting out my grinder and hard plate drills and disecting this lock and i will post the pictures on this site.

I could be wrong, but I do believe that's one of the conquests that has the AVA mechanism, in which case yeah, you're SOL.

Yes it is the ava system. You will likely not be picking that lock.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

Hi banks this lock is high security , it has two ball bearings one either side of the shakle , it has ten waffers inside but they are not spring loaded they sit one on top off the other like a stack off coins in a brass housing .the body is solid hardplate, you will struggle to get this lock apart , the waffers or discs in this lock are slightly misaligned, when the key is inserted it trues up the stack ,when the key is withdrawn it misaligns the stack .their is a steel lug in the centre of the shakle connected to the key way when the key is turned the bearings roll out the way and the lock opens. you wont rekey this lock but if you pm me ill tell you how to open it . no lock is unpickable.
