I recived a 7 pin deluxe small bore Tubular Pick from them. actually they messed up and sent me a Deluxe 7 pin regular core tubular pick and not the one i ordered..

i called them up, they apalogized and sent me the correct one...

they where prompt and have Good customer Service

I have 2 pick sets, and several other tools made by Southern Ordnance and I can say they are quality tools. I have an E100HO electric pick that stopped working about 5 days after the warranty ran out. I emailed Southern Ordnance and ask if they would consider fixing it under warranty. They responded, "Absolutely, we will repair it under warranty."
All my dealings with them have been outstanding, quick service and they seem more than willing to help.

okay, i bought a bunch of stuff from lockpickshop.com,

i bought the southord A5 plug spinner, and on its first use(i turned it once) the spring broke off from the part that turns

what a piece of shit :roll:

im wondering if i can get a refund from lockpickshop or southord

That's the first sign of a descent company - one that's willing to make an effort for the client. I don't think there's enough competition in the locksmith supplies biz - there's room for more companies competing in this ever growing field...and the company that will prove smart enough to gain the respect of the buyers by treating them with all aspects of quality will reign.

I got my E100HO electric pick back from Southern Ord, or I should say they replaced it with a new one. They even called me the day they shipped it to let me know it was on the way.
I have one of their cheap plug spinners too, I must say it's a little flemsy, but I know thier customers service and attitude are first class.

I'm impressed with SouthOrd. as a newb to this hobby, I placed an order for my first set of picks with them on Monday. Monday evening I got an email confirming shipping. Looks like I'll have them on Friday.

As a follow up to the above post, I recieved my pick set today. This is my first set so don't have anything to judge it on, except from what I've read. Couple of things I noticed:

1) The tension tool only has one 90Â° bend. Can I make another so I can apply tension with the flat part? or will it break?

2) The edges of the tools appear to have some very small bumps on them. I'll have to smooth them out with an emery cloth I guess.

I called the local locksmith and he's selling me some locks for $2 a pop and the service station around the corner from my house is saving me windshield wiper blades. i'm ready to go now!

My first set was a southord 5 peice and the easy pickings book a couple of years ago. After I found I could open locks, I stopeed using them as picks and started using them as templates. Then I customized my homebrew. They are what I still use to this day.

Personally, I like SouthOrd brand over custom non name brand picks such as ones in lockpicktools.com and other sites.

I'd rather pay for brand name over cheap un known picks
