I got a nice bunch of bristles a few days ago. I have quite a few, more than I need. They are in very good condition, with no rust or wear at all. If you are desperate for some bristles, PM me. As long as I can afford the postage from Kansas, I can send you enough to make a few picks. While supplies last.

The bristles spossums talking about are absolutely new, not used on the streets, they come in pristine condition, he has sent me some and I recommend them to anyone who is making bogota picks, others have also sent me some good bristles from the brushes, and I have used them also, this summer, I spent no time looking in the street for bristle. Thanks to everyone who has sent me bristles, there are several of you, and I have used them from everyone, it is becoming winter here and working in the backyard where I make the picks is not gonna last, I don't work in the house, so for the winter I just stop making them, but if anyone is interested, pm me and see if I have any left.

I received some of Spossum’s bristles in the mail and I have to say they are absolutely new, not a single spot of rust or the slightest bend! I just hope I have the skill to make them into something useful, some Bogota variants or perhaps even a King & Queen pair if there is enough material.

Spossum,
Just recieved the bristles today, they are in great condition with no rust or blemishes what-so-ever, and got them in only a few days.
Thanks again.

A friend motivated me to make some new picks from my bristles. They turned out pretty well. Despite their slender shape they are comfortable to hold. I hope to use these as the beginning of a whole set of picks. I put a tension wrench on the end of these, but I may make the rest of them double ended to have a set of picks that will fit into a very small case.

Those look really good Spossum. A set of those would come in handy.
How long did you make them to be?

Thanks. Yes I have. They work pretty good. I've opened a Brinks R70, American 5200, Abus 24/60, master #5, and a couple residential cylinders with them so far.

Excellent job! I may be too embarrassed to post any more pictures, that is fine handiwork REparsed. And you have surpassed me in locks picked too. You may want to post those in the homebrew hall of fame also, I would be very proud of them. I can see you put the bristles to good use, and if you need any more don't hesitate to PM me, I got some more this weekend.

Reparsed has a new design, the columbian royal. very nice design, and the workmanship is excellent. One difference from the ones I make is that he has not yet seen the usefulness of undercutting the shaft of the pick back toward the twist, whether that is always necessary is up for debate, without undercutting the shaft the tensor function becomes more forceful, but on really tight keyways, all the skeletonization becomes necessary.
Excellent work rePARSED!
