I bought a brand new Master hockey puck lock (I think it's a cheap American Lock copy cat). I keep hearing all this noise about bump keys, so I thought I would give it a try. I filed down an AM7 blank with a 6" slim triangler taper file. The key looks like a saw blade. After ten tries of hitting the key with a screw driver- OPEN! I haven't any luck with true American Lock cylinders. Maybe it has to do with those pick resistant pins they put in their locks.

Good job. Hand filing the keys gives a lot of people difficulty. The pick resistance has little to do with the bumpability of a lock.
I think if you find bumping interesting that you will thoroughly enjoy picking a lot more.
