Hello i looked around at a few sites and i couldnt find blank side bar keys for medeco lock i dont know you can buy them or not? but does anyone know where to find these if there out there sorry for the noob question

I think you are going to have some trouble finding Medeco blanks, as they are pretty well controlled. But, I don't really know for sure.
Picking since 1995 =)

yea you probbly cant buy them i found a few things about it at wikipedia

Key Control
Medeco uses patented key control systems to prevent unauthorized copies of keys from being generated.


i did how ever find a box for sale for $150 lol

There are some blanks available from aftermarket sources for the original Medeco.
The bi-ax and the M3 Blanks are still under patent and available only from Medeco, (unless you can find some from a private seller)

Actually Ilco is now selling some of the biaxial blanks. I believe the G3(?) keyway is one but I would have to look again. As far as I can recall, the patent on most biaxial keyways is expired. You will find some tightly controlled keyways though such as the US Military keyways, etc.
