LSI Chapter fliers

Postby Lucky1406 » 17 Nov 2006 13:50

So, I live in College Station, TX, USA. And we have an LSI Chapter here. What I was wondering, for all those other LSI Chapters, what do you do to advertise? Do you use fliers? and if so, what are your designs? I'm trying to come up with something that looks appealing, but I also want to making sure that the people who read it won't think of it as an illegal group, but as a hobby or sport instead. I dont want to bring in the wrong crowd(I know that there are always a few, but I want to keep that number as low as I can). Any ideas as to designs for a flier? I'm not great at designing, but when I get a finished product of what I have, I'll post it to see what ya'll think. Thanks so much,
Nick

Well, I came up with a few ideas. The first pic is of two different ideas on one page. The left was my first try, the right, my second. I like the right side idea, but I need to shrink the pictures to make room for more text. any ideas for text? Thanks for any sugestions. And yes, i used the front of the Secrets of Lock Picking book as a guide. But what else should I include? I was thinking about putting my name and number and e-mail virticaly on the bottem, over and over again, and the cut slits in between, so that people can just tear off the info for easy access. Any other ideas? thanks,
Nick

If you're worried about attracting the wrong group, maybe make lock picking smaller and make something like "Do you like hands on mechanical puzzles" big on the top. With lock picking and group info on the bottom.

The sport part is running from the cops after you try to pick the lock on the shop door!

Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
