First picked lock - Honeywell

I saw everyone else posting simlar topics, so i tyhought i would express my joy of my first locked picked. Its a honeywell drawer safe with a 5 digit combo on it too, i dont remember the model, but it had 5 pins. This was my first try on picking something, and i got it in less than 5 minutes. it seems the third pin was the...(i forgot what its called) but it had the most resistance with tension applied, then i just pulled the pick up from the bottom a couple times with the same tension and viola!. Arent safes supposed to be harder to get into? I guess i need to get a higher quality one.

the safe you're talking about is not a security safe but a fire safe it is mad to stop damage to documents from fires not to stop theft. People often are mistaken about this. ther is even a technique of opening fire safes that takes little more then something heavy and it will open with no sign of tamper... congrats but I hope you don't rely on that fire protection box

Thats what's called the binding pin.

Good job on the picking, tell me did it's pins look square (making it a wafer lock) or round (making it a pin tumbler lock)?
