Scissor lock pick

I invented this pick from bending and twisting wiper blade material. I notched the rake-like design with a round file. It works pretty well for alot of cheap locks and cylinder types. I like its compactness and you don't need a tension wrench. I describe the pick action as raking and bumping, yet effective. This was my first childhood design, and I still use the scissor pick today.

One of the Bogota picks that Raimundo sent to me was a pick exactly like that.

I have seen some other picks made in a similar fashion.

Its not common, but they work great on double sided locks.

I've seen similiar picks.
I congratulate you on you ingenuity on being able to think of it yourself.
I'm a pin for pin picker myself, but I do like seeing the creativity that comes out of people looking for faster methods of opening locks.

After seeing Lauren's drawing and also just yesterday coming into some wiper inserts I had to make a quick pair to try out. (I just need a suitable lock.) The next pair will have four peaks on each side.

Offset the peaks, so that the peaks on one side correspond the the valleys on the other side.

Great job on the pick and thanks for the photo. These picks work well on disk pin locks also. The handle has a good feel to it from my experience. :D
