Why is this lot foing for so much? Is it because of the cylinders? This guy sells a lot of keys and people apparently buy them? What good are the keys? Am I missing something? I'd rather have locks with no keys rather than keys with no locks.

I can think of two pretty good reasons...

Major one is to be able to re-pin a lock of the same brand for a customer, if they'd had keys stolen for example and the second would be to make bump keys, tho for many of the keys in that particular lot, such as the tubular keys that wouldn't be much use.

Course there may be a lot of people out there who just collect old keys... sounds odd but people do collect weird stuff that makes no sense to anyone else.

Another question(probably redundant): It would seem to me that members of this forum could unknowingly bid against each other and raise the price of an ebay lot unneccesarily. Is there anyway to prevent this???
