I have 2 or 3 Bump Hammers new in the box ,left by Han and Barry from the ALOA convention.....It is the season to spread the wealth.. so what am I to do with them ?
I thought about a contest of some sort with the hammers as prizes.. anybody have any ideas for a contest or a FAIR way to pass these on?

Come up with some really tough trivia questions and the first one to answer gets the hammer, repeat as necessary with other hammers (a new question for each hammer, of course).

This sounds like a fair situation.

wait... rewind a second...

They were giving away bump hammers at an ALOA convention??! The same people who disavow any clear understanding about bumpkeys, short of them certainly being the work of the devil?-- ALOA?

Naww. Can't be.

Locksmiths can be a fairly intolerent buch at times, but by and large they aren't idiots.

They know a useful tool when it shows up, no matter how much they may dislike it.

I don't know that the hammers were being GIVEN away at the ALOA convention, I only know that Han and Barry left them for me after the convention.. along with some other suff they didn't want to carry back ( cut away of a bump proof lock)

Yes, if you recall, Lockmaster's and Peterson are both retailing their version of the bump hammer.

Additionally, I would hope that those here who already have a KEbump II or other bump hammer that they're satisfied with would be kind enough to not compete so as to let those who don't have one go for it  . Also, I imagine those that don't already have one are mainly noobs, so it ought to be interesting to see if there's any noobs that can answer a genuinely tough question.

That depends on the hammer my friend. If it's one of peterson's, you can bet that I'd like a whack at it to compare between the two.

Answer finger poised and ready.

Well, yeah, that's true. But I would think that if you've got a KEbump MkII that you wouldn't really be interested in anything else :D

I'd like to compete for one, since my current bumping tool is a spoon.

How can you not have bought a kebump by now, noah? You blow more dough on locks every month than I probably do on food and utilities combined :P :?:

I have to say that if it is an authentic Tomahawk I'll have to be competing too  . I need another one to give away as a Christmas gift to a friend  .

I've never been a friend of bumping. I've only bumped 1 lock so far, out of hundreds of tries.
