Yeah i been thinking that too. I got some dodgy old tri circle thing here, i swear there's about 1mm of play between the barrel and the casing lol. Makes it hard to get the right amount of tension on it.

Pins are horidly stiff and i don't wanna mess my pick up trying to pick it.

I'm going to see a mate tomorrow who used to fit double glazing patio doors, with the union locks, he has hundreds laying about in his garage. Maybe i'm getting a bit ahead of myself for a noob, but hey, at least i diddn't start with a master lol

After you feel comfortable with the simpler locks, go for the Brinks R70 Disk Lock. That is a moderately hard lock to open because you need to have very good control on your tension. And a stiffer tension tool. It usualy has 1 or 2 spool pins in it. Also before you move on to a different brand, try picking a couple different locks of the same model. You will get a better feel for them that way.
