Just got a few of these shipped from Germany. Quite awesome, the keyway is evil. anyone know how to tell if the one i have is the new version with sliders? (see http://www.lockwiki.com/index.php/EVVA_DPI for more info) Thanks!

Easy, look into the keyway. The one with sliders has a projection off the side of the slider that the key acts upon and when they are all at rest you can see a gap above the projection. Unlike the std pin stack of the previous version.

if the key is ground down the small circular pin that is visible in the picture of the sidebar where it interacts with the key will be pushed in by the 3rd pin, and this would cause the pin to drop into a groove in the plug where the sidebar is not present(small cutout shown in the plug in the 2nd pic).

I may be (and in most cases am) missing something, but from how I understand it, couldn't you grind away (on the key) all but the middle of the sidebar fingers so the key will interact with the anti-pick pin in the sidebar but not the finger pins?
