hey everybody, first post...
I just started picking a little while ago with my brother's old 11-piece set; I've picked a couple of locks already with the random-prodding method, but I'm looking to refine my technique beyond blind poking.
that said, i have two questions:
first, does anybody know about the characteristics of Best brand locks (pin number, security features, etc)? i'm not sure what type specifically, but they're used all over my college campus... i tried picking the lock on my dorm room and i couldn't figure out what was going on inside. is Best usually a more difficult type to pick?
also, what's a good type of lock to learn on? i have one that i've been practicing on, can't remember the type, but it's really easy to crack with almost no technique... i've heard schlage and yale are good beginner brands to practice on, and i was wondering if people had any recommendations.
thanks much for any help.
