OK well the title says it all really, over the last few nights ive been spending alot of time in front of the PC/TV with about 8/9 locks and playing with them.
And sober i can pick them but after a few JDs i seem to have a lighter touch or something and can pop locks i struggle with in less than half the time. sometimes way less than that.
Is this something other people have found or am i the only person that has sat while slightly inibrated messing about with locks?

The alcohol is blocking your negative energy. Aluminum foil worn under your hat sometimes works too. But seriously, I've opened locks without even paying attention (in front of the TV) too. It's a good thing cars have portable DVD players in them when working on the ignition locks.

Pretty much you are just relaxing, and that makes a difference.
The more you try to force it, the harder it gets.
Kinda like most things, just relax and let yourself do your thing.

Nah, you'd have to be REALLY drunk for the alcohol to appreciably affect your time perception. Now pot is a whole 'nuther thing, and that stuff does REALLY mess up your time perception...so I've heard.

Have you done a lot of picking while drinking? Did you learn to pick while drinking?
I noticed something similar to this a few years ago playing pool. I use to play a lot competitively, gambling, tournaments and leagues. I once even played against Keith Mcready in a tournament. He's the one in the Color of Money that tells Paul Newman that it's like your worst nightmare as he's beating him out of his money. Paul shouldn't feel bad I lost too
I played well with 7 or 8 beers in me, then a few years ago I quit drinking. What I discovered was that I did not know how to play sober since I had always played while drinking. It took me a couple of months to learn to play sober, and once I learned how I played some of my best best games ever.

All I know is that I can pee alot when I am drunk!! I just cannot figure that one out....
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

I believe you. You get so paranoid about police catching you drunk that you follow the rules better. I know people like that. You will take less chances Thus to some your driving improves.
Then there are others that run into poles drunk... they don't drive better....
