ok, so ive been reading up on how to pick tumbler locks, and im pretty sure that the club lock used on a steering wheel of a car is a 5 or 7 pin tumbler. now im not sure if there is a different way that i should go about picking this lock or if i just use the method told here as follows....
"To open the lock, first insert your tension wrench. Next you insert the pick all the way into the cylinder until you hit the back. When you put the pick in you should twist the wrench a bit to press the shaft against the pins and make the edge that the pins will rest on. Now raise the pick up to scrape the top of the cylinder and drag it to the first pin. Shift the pick up and twist it side to side to raise the pin up and out of the cylinder and it will rest on the edge you made by turning the cylinder with the tension wrench. You will know that the pin is released when you feel a small vibration and hear a light clicking noise. Next, move to the second pin and repeat the raise and twist maneuver. Repeat until you are at the fifth pin. Once the fifth pin has been raised, and all others are past the break point, you can turn the cylinder all the way around using the tension wrench and the pick."
If this is the way i should go about picking the club then just let me know, other wise i am completely open to hearing any other possible ways you think i may be able to pick the lock. please guys im clueless haha thanks.

Um, does someone else want to get this one, because this entire thing just sounds all wrong to me.
Not to mention, its a CLUB for heaven sake.
Look, if its on your vehicle, call a locksmith. If its just something you are playing with, read the forums.
A lock is a lock, but this just sounds all wrong.

we do not help anyone engage in criminal activities. This site is dedicated to hobby picking, not criminals....
now go sit in the corner and think about the time in jail you could have recieved if you succeeded in stealing your parents vehicle and they were to report it stolen. Don't know where you live but in Canada Grand theft auto is a felony and you do time for it.
tsk tsk tsk

sorry man can't help you there, your parents must have a reason for the club on your car and you picking that lock would just piss them off more, on top of that you don't own that club, it's your parents. we are not here to teach immature people to pick locks for malicious reason.
learn a little respect for your parents, i understand your first car can be fun and all we all been there.

Well, I have to give him this; he was honest about it.
That gets a few points. Not enough to make up for the issue though.
Look, if you need or want the car, you have to talk to your parents. There is obviously a reason why they felt compelled to put a club on your car.
I'm not offended so much as I am disappointed.
1. Because you feel the need to "steal" the car when your parents obviously have concerns.
2. And this is more a pride issue than anything else, its a club and they just aren't that bloody difficult.
I am going to tell you that the best thing to do is to talk to your parents, I am going to tell you that you should just drop the whole idea anyway.
Part of what makes being able to pick locks special ISN'T about knowing that you can get through locks. Its about choices. Its about having a skill that you choose NOT to use for illegal or immoral purposes.
While I am not entirely sure what category this falls into, I do know that evn if you do suceed, in the end the victory will be hollow. The disappointment and loss of trust from your parents isn't worth what you get.
