Hint: it's a lever lock (!!!)

I'd call this a lever lock as well. The Legge BS 5 lever locks do not operate on a pivot - they slide up and down vertically on 2 posts. These slide horizontally but it's the same principle.

I don't know the type of lock other than that I think it's from a safe as it's double bitted? I don't know much about safe locks.

Errm...Doh!

They don't slide horizontally do they!! They slide vertically so it's the same principle as the legge.

Hmmm...9 levers, Australian, I am going to say some type safe deposit, even though it isn't in standard safe deposit form. It seems kind of cheap to be a safe lock with stamped levers.

Nope, I actually mis-identified it. Now I know what it actually is.

Just to clarify things, sort of

This lock and the Kassakaappi are both made by the same firm. They are only stamped Kassa... when fitted to a particular brand of safe.
The firm that manufactures these locks now, is not the firm whose name the locks bear. It would be incorrect to use the current makers name.

RE Greyman, he's practically told you. Australian, nine levers. There's not many to choose from.

Sorry, I don't follow Aus locks. Yes, there is a bit of a mystery to where this Kassa or whatever-it-is lock came from, or who made it.

Here's one for you, I don't have a clue what it is, or where its from. It was a gift from a friend. Its really easy to pick, but I'm just wondering if anyone can shed a light as to what it is, or where its from. thanks,
Nick

It looks like a cheap no name to me.....

The number could just be a keyway id.

It's a knock-off rim cylinder.
