Strange euro cyl problem

Listen, i cant make it any more simpler than i already have,

I thought the issue was that,

The lock had been picked,

It did not open,

A spinner was used,

The lock opened,

I incorrectly understood the question in the first place so suggested it could have needed a multiple turn ie more than one turn, to open the lock and used a geared lock as an example and asked if it was one,

A bum key if workjing on that lock would work in that case but you would either need to bump it a few times or simply use a flipper,

He suggested so i thought that the lock had been bumped but then not again so i incinuated that it may need to be bumped a few times if only once more or indeed use a flipper as was used,

I was only exploring the scenario that the gentleman in question might have been resetting the lock back to full lock if the first bump didnt feel as though it was working.

Some Euro cylinders are designed to be fitted one way only, i.e. have an external and internal side, and work in much the same way as a thumbturn Euro does.

If the bump key was not engaging correctly it would just spin the plug without turning the cam.

I agree. Sometimes the plug just won't engage, even with the right key, so it's hardly unlikely a shorter key will work right.

You probably just pushed the key in harder when you used the spinner. Nothing magic.

OR ALSO JUST THAT THE BUMPING HAD DAMAGED THE CYLINDER

OR GOT THE CENTRE PIN IN THE INBETWEEN POSITION OF JUST LETTING THE PLUG/CAM SPIN.

YOU SEE BUMPING DAMAGES LOCKS SO IF I WAS YOU ID TELL YOUR HOPPO NOT TO BUMP ON WARRANTS AS HE WILL COME UNSTUCK ONE DAY.
