spring steel by the roll --- where to buy????????????

Postby xxgonzoxx » 10 Dec 2006 11:33

Someone posted a link in this forum pointing to a place that had steel by the roll. Now that I want to buy it, I, of course, can't find the link. By posting this, i hope that whomever posted it will post it again.

Why by the roll?

If you are making picks better to buy machinist feeler gauges. They are about $1.00 each if you buy say a dozen, and each gauge gives you 2 -3 picks. They are ideal..... 12 inches long, and 1/2 inch wide, generally hardened to about 45 rockwell. Plus they are nice and straight.
that's only .33 cent each, pluss you can choose .025 or .030 thickness. They should be available at any machinist's supply shop.
