New Master lever lock

Postby dosman » 16 Dec 2006 13:43

I picked one of these up last night. I haven't located it yet on Masters website, anyone seen these yet? The package has the number 2750D on it but it doesn't really say that is the model number, can anyone confirm or deny if that's the model?

if ur asking if the number in the top right in white is the model then yes.

if your asking if its the correct number then i have no idea. but it seems odd for them to release it as a new lock. its an age old design for padlocks.

Something very fishy is going on between Squire and Master - I've lost count of how many of their padlocks look identical save for a few cosmetic things and a different brand name. This is identical to the squire lever padlock, save for the MASTER logo on the front. :?

4 levers if memory serves - tried to pick it yet? :)

definitely brand new, but it is in their UPC file, the bar code on the back should say 071649-22876-6

After seeing this, it looks identical to the Squire Old English 4 lever padlock..

I must say, that is very cool. I will be keeping my eye out for one.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

I think for many of us, most Master padlocks are for "decorative" purposes and not really functional anyways.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

poor suckers are gonna buy that then flip out at me when they come to my shop and ask for a key copy and find out it's gonna cost them far more than the cost of the lock.

package

Postby raimundo » 6 Feb 2007 20:51

in the package I think I see a dust cover over that keyway, out of the package, is the dust cover pushed to the top of the keyway?
