I am going to try using photo paper today. I didn't have very good luck using regular paper because it eventually water logged and started to smudge and tear away before I was done. Especially on the tips. I printed some bogatas and Romstar templates out on the photo paper and cut one out and am soaking it in water right now to see how well it works. It's been in there for ten minutes and the paper is still strong and no smudges. I'm not for sure what heat will do but I'll find out after a while. Just curious if anyone else has tried it this way. I did a search and didn't come up with anything.

So far no complaints. I super glued the photo paper to the hacksaw blade and then put some on the corners to make sure it held in place. The whole process went pretty smooth on the bench grinder using water to quench the blade ever few stokes. Now I'm going to take some files to it and see what I can do.

I used white blades like you and I printed templates in black and white. Since the ink is pretty heavy on the paper you can turn it upside-down so the ink is against the white saw blade and rub with the back of your thumbnail and leave the ink on the blade in a perfect mirror image. Then color in with a sharpie (cause the ink will wipe off too easily) and grind away.

Finished product for now. I don't have any real fine sand paper or any fine files so I'll have to go with this for now and see how well it works until I receive the one's I ordered from Raimundo.
Now time to start on the Romstar templates

This is all I got done this evening. They are still pretty rough. I'll have to pick up some fine sand paper this week and maybe finish the set next weekend some time.
The photo paper worked great too.

You should twist and bend the handle of that bogota you made. Look around on this site for a picture of one and you'll see what I mean. It'll work much more effectively that way.
Good idea with the photo paper, and good job grinding out those picks.

I'll definitely try that. So far I haven't been able to get a master lock to open with it. Maybe that would give it the magic touch.

Thanks. I recommend everyone at least give it a try once to see how it works for them.

Heh,
I just get a charge out of seeing my templates printed out with the Romstar name on them.
Its going to be a while before I can do stamped names on my handles, so that's as close as I'm going to get to that for a while.

I used Romstar's template and made a rake and half diamond and curved feeler pick. With the feeler pick I am opening everything I have. I need to go buy some deadbolts because I'm tempted to try my backdoor, but I don't want to break it. lol
